The finished mirror being poured off and now you can see the clean deposited silver from the front of the glass. I normally give 2 coats for longevity and the same for reverse glass signs where you would normally need 100 years plus quality.

A módszert amúgy egy német vegyész, Justus von Liebig találta ki 1835-ben, és nagyban hozzájárult a tükrök elterjedéséhez, hiszen jelentősen leegyszerűsítette az előállítást.
Mivel az ezüst-nitrát (avagy népies nevén: pokolkő) erősen mérgező, ezért otthon, alsógatyában nem igazán javasolt hozzákezdeni a tükörgyártáshoz, de amúgy kis fantáziával ilyen fantasztikus dolgok is létrehozhatóak ezzel a technikával:
